AI can be scary to some people sometimes. Mostly, its just a pretty good coding assistant at best and a potential cyber security nightmare at worst. What’s immediately alarming is how much money is tied up in this. Even more concerning is that they way Ai companies (Both Hyperscalers and small firms) are moving their debt. They are following the Enron playbook which ended pretty spectacularly. Combine that with the lost tax revenue and added tax burden of data centers and its clearly headed for a crash just on paper. Oh yeah and data centers are intrusive, hyper-polluting, noisy and unnecessary.
